On the 24th of November, Sirius College held their Siriusly Arty : Arts & Production Festival on our campus grounds. The event was an opportunity for our Visual and Performing Arts Departments to work collegially to produce a circus themed extravaganza. Students were given the unique privilege of performing in a professional marquee equipped with the best quality sound and lighting production. Our students showcased their talent and passion during their concerts; and the audience was incredibly lucky to be entertained by circus animals, clowns, dancers and acrobats! It was obvious that our students and teachers spent months in preparation for the performances and our feedback from the show has been overwhelmingly positive.

In addition to the performances, Mrs. Nazan Zengin (our wonderful art teacher) organised over twenty artistic activities for our students to participate in during the concerts intermission. Students had two hours to experiment with, create and make a range of artworks, whilst responding and appreciating their own artwork created during the year on display. At Sirius College, we place high importance in the Arts and its incredibly significant role it plays when creating and making to strengthen sensory and kinesthetic skills.

I would like to thank Mrs. Nazan Zengin for her immeasurable efforts leading up to the event; the school looked festive and colourful, buzzing with excitement! We would also like to thank our Principal, Mr. Deniz Yildirim and the staff for their efforts and support. We are very proud of our achievements, what an unbelievable day at the circus!

Kindest regards,
Mrs. Anna Gallo – Head of Performing Arts
